From the farm to the sea

Fusing Contemporary Coastal with an architectural twist, this striking kitchen boasts great design and high-end functionality. Eliesha Paiano from Paiano Design is an Interior Designer servicing the Illawarra with custom kitchen and joinery design. She was approached by a couple that were seeking something truly unique to celebrate their sea change.

​

With the kitchen being the centerpiece of an architectural build overlooking Kiama Harbour, the design required a thoughtful, innovative and youthful approach. The joinery itself is an explosion of colour and texture. The backdrop of American Oak timber veneer, combined with matte black and white concrete act as a sophisticated anchor to the very playful Teal quad that stretches over a 4m long island bench.

Paiano Custom Kitchens (you guessed it, they’re related) brought this design to life with the highest standards of construction and installation. Nothing was off limits with the latest in appliances, finishes and contemporary luxuries. “Paperock”, a finish made of recycled paper, was used for the custom dining bench, a concrete fireplace by Set in Steel - featuring a custom cradle for storage of firewood.  Technology celebrated through the use of Zens wireless charging dock, Zetr flush mount powerpoints, and a pop up downdraft from Sirius, just to name a few.

This highly customised kitchen certainly is an entertainers’ dream.
